Okay so I see all these posts that are asking for help and I’m desperate.
This is 1 of my 3 dogs, Brei, we’ve had her going on 13 years and she’s a joy to anyone she’s ever met, she is so gentle and sweet, but she’s had health problems over the last 6 years.
She has diabetes, a thyroid condition and is completely blind in one eye and partially blind in her other because of the diabetes, despite these things she is still lively, loving and just a big happy lap dog.
Over the years she’s been to vet almost every month or so because they just can’t pin down how much insulin she need to have to keep the diabetes controlled, there have been a couple of instances where she almost made it a full 6 months without a diabetic episode. 6 months being a huge milestone meaning the diabetes would be under control and she’d only need to go to the vet every 6 months as long as she doesn’t have any episode. She’s been making it just weeks from 6 months.
She’s been to the vet so much the entire staff knows her on sight and by her whine (because she’s a big cry baby if you’re not loving on her). The vet staff absolutely adore her too, they’re doing everything they possibly can for her, but the thing is all the tests and medication she needs is a lot of money.
Until recently my aunt’s been able to barely handle it, most of her pay check goes to Brei’s medical expenses as well as helping me with college, so there’s not a lot of wiggle room.
A little over a week ago they thought she might have cancer after performing some tests and finding her calcium levels extremely high. My aunt took her to a specialist to have x-rays and ultrasounds done. The results (which to quote the vet said she) “went from a complicated case to and even more extremely complicated case” and found a mass on her thyroid that needs surgery.
The surgery costs $4000 and my family just doesn’t have that money and we can’t put off the surgery very long because this could be what’s causing so many of the problems she has right now.
Our dogs mean a lot to us they’re part of the family and when Brei’s been at the vet all day our two other dogs are looking for her all over the house and the moment she gets home they welcome her home.
I hate asking for help and especially asking for money, but again I’m desperate and just want my big booger Brei healthy.
So if you’re able could you please help out by passing this around or donating money to help pay for her surgery. I appreciate anyone that took the time to read this and who can help, sorry to be asking like this.
I just wanted to add this picture I just took because Brei loves to lay down right up against someones chair to feel close to them. She thrives off of being around people and she makes our lives 100% better (all our dogs do). If she could she’d always be curled up in your lap and sometimes she tries. She means so much to my family and we really do need help.
This is what my husband and I purchased at the grocery store the other day.
We don’t have kids.
We are adults. We pay bills.
And drink water from a whale.
im waiting for the day i can use this as a reaction image and confuse everyone for a good 5-30 seconds before they get it
ahahhahaha what the fuck is wrong here is the siren damaged or something. I’ve heard this exact siren before but never all creepy like this
actually the reason the siren sounds like that is because it’s echoing through the tall buildings of downtown chicago!
jesus, fuck this
Note to self: every time you were convinced you couldn’t go on, you did.
I think Faolan has a confession to make. Or he needs to pee really bad.
